The Houston Area Police Chiefs Association (HAPCA) is excited to announce our first annual award recognition program to recognize an outstanding Law Enforcement Officer. Nominations will be accepted through October 9, 2023. Please submit your nomination via email to:

All nominations will be reviewed by the HAPCA Nominations Committee. One officer will be recognized at the end-of-the-year monthly luncheon in November. The recipient will be presented with a plaque, a Blauer Uniforms $250 gift card, a Blauer Yeti, a $100 Visa gift card from Key Warden and a $100 Gift card from Cap Fleet.  There may be other awards to this deserving officer.  

Eligibility Criteria:

·    Any person employed as a full-time commissioned Peace Officer below the rank of Chief or Sheriff.  

Nomination Submission Guidelines:

·    Any HAPCA member who has paid their dues may submit a nomination. All nominations must include the endorsement of their Chief to be considered by the Nominations Committee.

·    No more than one nominee from any eligible institution will be considered.

·    Each nomination will be comprised of a narrative, no more 1,000 words, outlining:

o    The nominee’s service to their agency

o    The nominee’s service to their community and/or HAPCA

o    The nominee’s accomplishments as a police officer or supervisor
